Default Corey Jones (used to be: Someone You Know)

I'd love to add someone to this list that you all know. He owes me a lot of money (quattro related).

You're a shark and a thief and you know who you are. The decent thing to do is to contact me and arrange payment. To think I once thought you were worth dealing with. This is your last warning.

Some of the more astute would have worked out who this cretin is.

If you've been ripped off why not just name and shame the culprit, could save someone else some heartache in the future.

Several months ago, in fact well over a year ago I made contact with the above mentioned nonce. In our communications he organised a set of 8 inch Ronal wheels for me (I think from the fellow Preece). It was agreed that I trade some of the quattro carbon fibre product I was selling for the wheels, and I would take care of shipping. The wheels arrived with no problems and I sent the carbon.

The cretin concerned liked the carbon fibre product and decided to order some off me to sell in the UK and Europe. He however, wanted to pay for it as he went rather than buy outright. My carbon fibre supplier (actually a quattro owner) was sympathetic to any quattro people and agreed to supply me on these terms. Luckily him and I are still good friends.

The carbon shipment of six radiator shrouds (two of which were carbon/Kevlar) was shipped and received. Months went by without any payment, but requests for carbon bonnets, wings etc... were common.

I started to question why I had not had any payment, explaining that this is my livelyhood. I had noticed that these carbon pieces were appearing on Ur quattros - but no payment. All I received were excuses for months on end.

Then one day the thieving prat told me that he would pay by credit card. So I said "excellent" and started feeling a bit better about the situation. Then when I asked the future jail bird if he could discretely give me his credit card details, he told me to "hold your horses" because his wife was using it!!!???

Eventually I got no response from him anymore - he simply ignored my emails. It has been some time since anyone has heard from him I believe.

The criminal and friend deciever (as if you don't already know) is COREY JONES. Be warned of this thief - do not deal with him - he is rotten to the core.

Pay my bill or I will be sending the bailiffs round. How can you bear to live with yourself. You have let down 100s of people on this forum and others and this is why they need to be warned of you.

Note that he purchased Lumenition EFI and had a holiday in France last summer, that would be essentially at your expense then. The Victorians had special prisons for debters, IMO they need bringing back.

For anyone else at the recieving end of thieves then:

Is an easy way to take action, it's worked for me in the past.

He also did me out of £430 and retained a shedload of my parts.

Unfortunately I knew it for a long time. Although not told to keep stumb about it I elected to remain silent. Why? Because I knew that the source I got the information from was a good man and didnt need me spreading "gossip" about him or the alleged. Fortunately I dont (I hope) do gossip.

Wasnt it back on the dark-side that the said Corey was subject to claiming fame to the Porsche disk+calipers on 15" ur ronals all the while some other guy was bitching about being a victim of "industrial theft".

To be frank is it any wonder when someone on here or any other forum for that matter wonders and thinks about buying parts of any caliber from any source.

Now I know what it means on the signature of corey when he states "sometimes in Lincoln mostly in the corner" or words to that affect.

Default suppose I've been sort of lucky........

Guys, happened to come across this note by chance but wish it had been placed sooner........reading between the lines it appears that some people knew of the aforementioned persons' "business practices" and elected to keep quiet..... ok, fair enough but maybe if someone had let the cat out the bag then maybe we would have all saved ourselves months of hassle.

My story starts with an initial enquiry about the much hyped 15inch monoblock conversion....... after being convinced of the conversion I duly paid the money up front and waited.......imagine my surprise when I did not receive them......numerous phonecalls later they finally arrived.....minus the h-bar clips for holding pads in place.......

Finally got round to fitting them thinking it would take no more than 4 hours.........-). Initially they fitted great...that is until I tried to fit the wheels........ turned out that the brtackets were too thick causing excessive misalignment when the wheels were tightened.....machine shopped 3mm from both.........ok on one side but the other side was still the same.........all sorts of horrible things ran through my head until I looked at the calipers themselves.....they were slightly different.........
and this is where it all came back to me..........I remeber Corey telling me that the initial prices would need to be increased because one of thje calipers needed painting, one being black and the other being red.....total price of painting one of the calipers black (he said it was some form of anodising) was going to be an extra £90 and shipping would be £60, so that's and extra £150...........makes me laugh now when I think of it....
so there I was left with two different caliper sizes, one standard black, the other red with a thin black coat of halfords finest on top........ turns ouyt after lots of head scratching at my local porker shop that one caliper was from 996 c2 and the other from a 996 c4............got it sorted in the end by buying another caliper but to be honest I do not think the brakes are any better then the standard setup.............argghhhh-)

At the sdame time I was involved in upgrading my RR to RS2 spec....one thing that was definitely needed was a better intercooler.......who's the man........Corey........ intercooler duly supplied with all the "bits" needed etc etc etc.............come fitting time it is obvious that he is short of a full set of hoses........... price them up and you'll find out that these are not cheap from Samco......... after trying to speak with him over the phone on at least 20 occassions (that's something about us Scots, get something between our teeth and we dont let go!!) I finally spoke to his wife and told her it was "urgent"........... Corey duly phoned back and was most apologetic........."get me a list of the parts you need and I'll get you a price"........f*ck you I said, these parts have already been paid for.......
to cut a long story short I purchased the hoses myself and fitted the intercooler............does it work.......well yes up to a point.... still not as good as an RS2 intercooler but better than standard........maybe need to speak to Keith about his version sometime................
The moral of the story is not to trust anyone or believe anything someone says no matter how plausible or knowledgeable they seem....
Looks like I have been lucky here in that I received most of the parts I paid for but to be honest if I'd known about the hassle I would not have bothered...........suppose everyone else would say the same..........
named and shamed....... yeah, that feels good now....

Ultimately, it doesn't matter where you do dirty deeds, you'll get found out, and it was from the other side of the planet in this case.
Well spoken Bazil, you've certainly saved some of us from getting ripped off and my commiserations to anyone unfortunate enough to suffer at the hands of this cretin.

Thats the wonder of communication these days - Basil may as well be my next door neighbour. The planet is not as big as it used to be.

As for Mr Jones - I see he is still "an active" member of this forum with his email still intact !!!! One way to limit his communication could be to register his email to SPAM though I fear thats illegal.

Now the cat is out of the bag is it worth advising QOC, Audifans.net and other forums of the antics of Mr Jones. We are after all a quattro community and I would hate to see others being hard done by. We only need to cut/paste this thread to their sites?????
