A little help/advice....

Hi all,

Right, a friend in work is looking to buy (very specifically) a b4 coupe with the 2.3 10v engine around a 93/94 one. Knowing that I liked Audi’s he asked if I know what to look for when buying one. But being as my knowledge of the underside of cars is limited to Landrover 300tdi defenders (Wolfs) and anything I have owned, I just looked back at him blankly, smiled and said I would ask you nice people.

So any things to look for mechanically and general advice/faults would be greatly appreciated.

Water ingress in the boot. Actually, water ingress almost anywhere. These things come with their own swimming pool as standard and eventually it can cause a heck of a lot of problems.
