Default Noob with A100 2.3 AAR Quattro

Hello,

I am new to this forum and I drive a quattro not the original one but still a quattro. Its an Audi 100 (transitional body its known as C4 or Type 44) 2.3 engine code AAR (5 cyl 10v), one of the few left in the UK. I was once told by the VW/Audi specialist that there were only 5000 of them imported to the UK and unfortunately they wont that popular. So I am the lucky owner of one of the few left (do correct me if I am wrong).

Serge

Type 44 and C4 are not the same thing. Type 44s are the older model made up to 1991. C4s are virtually identical to the first generation A6. Sounds like yours might be a C4. They're nice cars. Comfortable, beautifully built, tough as boots.

I was always baffled about type 44 and C4! Thanks for clarifying this one for me!
