Hello guys!
I have a little question from the snowy Norway. I am trying to find the wire that provides the speed signal that unlocks the rear diff above 25 km/h. From what I have heard it should be a blue/white cable somewhere under the rear seat, but I cant find it. I would like to have the possbility to engage the rear diff above 25km/h, as I am really enjoying myself doing Scandinavian flicks and other fun winter stuff. And now I would like to try with the rear diff on, I have a theory that my Urq will be more predictable whe setting it up into curves on icy roads. Any clues for me guys? Edit: The car in question is a 1988 UrQuattro.

Eirik, all I say is that business must be good if your running these two cars in Norway!!! I saw the prices for clapped-out bangers when I was working between Oslo, Moss and Halden and it turned my hair grey. We think we've got it bad in the UK........

Yup, cars are silly expensive in Norway, no doubt. But as a car nut, I spend a lot on cars! It is all about priorities, and the general salary level in Norway is relatively high. But not as high as the car prizes. I have an appartment, which I have increased the mortgage on, that way I dont have to get an expensive car loan. Anyways, in norway we have to pay a fee based on the weight, power, and displacement on cars. So the best way to get a fast car in norway is to get a light turbo car. That way you minimize the weight and displacement fee. (As an example, on a high power car you will be paying 80-90£ per hp..) ![]()

I looked at buying a lhd RS2 and taking out there when I was looking at transferring to Oslo, however, I had to own the car for at least 1 or maybe 2 years prior to moving or I would have been hit with about 200% import duty..... fuxake!

Hello again guys.
I found the red/yellow cable running from the ISV unit. (At least I think it is the ISV unit..) It is in the relay group under the dash on the left hand, double size VDO unit. But no joy. I put a switch on it, but it doesnt seem to matter if that wire is cut or not. Any ideas?
