Audi quattro - The complete story??!!

Well Santa has been and gone and as usual the Sport was not under the tree yet again. But ...alas...I received Duke Marketings latest offering entitled Audi quattro- The Complete Story. I slotted it into the DVD, sat back with a nice pint eagerly awaiting the 85 minutes of quattro nirvana. Thats where my enthusiasm ended in bitter dissapointment. The DVD was a cobble together ( thats the only word to describe it ) of 'The Audi quattro experience' 'Too fast to race' ' Still too fast to race' and some snippets off the Audi channel. There was not one single image or footage of a single Ur other than the ones we have all seen in the aforementioned DVD's. The only bits worth mentioning was some good footage of the IMSA series and the 1994 German Touring car series, and some rare footage of the 'Le Mans' concept car. Duke never normally fail to deliver but they have with this big time. There is so much they could have done with a title like Audi quattro - The Complete Story.

I was given the Castrol Classic 1000 LKakes Rally dvd... havent watched it yet , however I have bought dvds in the past thats says never seen before coverage... only to find its all the same but new outside dvd covers
There must be miles of video tape on someones garage floor. Look how many rally cars are equippped with vid cameras, I wonder if Pikes Peak had a vid camera installed? THAT would get my vote.

and I got the one that Halfrauds were selling way back. Wicked video from inception of the ur to the concept Le Mans quattro. All about Audi motorsport but 2/3 of the vidoe is of the ur

Yeah would be nice to know the name of that one. There used to be a company based in Tattenhall in Cheshire that used to produce Rally vids ( cannot remember the name now) but they used to shove in -car cameras into anything they could, and I am led to believe that included quite a few quatties as well. I am not sure if Duke took control of the copyrights but it's a damm shame as quattrokid says because there must be gazzillions of miles of footage that would keep us lot happy for weeks!!

I took 7mins of in-car last September in my CQ driving round some of my favourite lanes in leafy North Shrops / Staffs. It was a hoot to watch and the car ( with single box ) sounded awesome. Trouble was on every blind bend there would be a cyclist ( avg age 65+) then a bloke in a landrover finally topped off by a Robert Wisemans Milk Tanker. But I did get some 'interesting' footage and the camera attached to the Daiagonal on the Roll Cage with Duct tape worked a treat. He he.
