Default Locking Wheel Bolts

Any recommendations where to get these from?

Probably these guys Home - McGard: Innovative Security Products

Mine are from them - better wearing than the 3 prong type. I managed to loose the key to mine. I contacted the company by email (in Germany). They were able to supply me with a new key when I gave them sufficient evidence to prove I owned the car, and a high resolution photo of one of the locking nuts.
One of the rare occaisions that I am impressed with a companies service, so I recommend them whole heartedly.

don't even think about the three prong type. the head is not hardened and the holes elongate until the key slips. then you get to drill them out, hoping not to damage the wheel as you go!

The three-prong type are fine as long as you follow the instructions to fit the wheel with a full set of ordinary bolts then remove one and replace it with the locking bolt. If you try to torque the wheel with a locking bolt you'll almost certainly wreck it and you will wreck it if you use an impact wrench.

The local Volvo dealer did exactly that with the McGards on my father's car - it then cost them a new set of bolts and several hours of their own labour chiseling out the wrecked set.

Absolutely agree, BTDT with an Audi dealership... Really do avoid at all costs...
