Cheers, I looked at the 2.7t's as well nice car but it was the wide body and the V8 that swayed me
It's got every option except the recaro seats (you lose memory function with those) and Aux heating which I have never seen on a car in this country more for the cold climates

The 2.7T engine is a solid engine, if you mantain it properly.. Let it warm up properly before feeding it and let it cool down with low rev. driving for 1-3 minutes before parking...
If not, it will show you who's the boss and ditch the turbos! My 2.7T (Audi S4 Avant) has done 230.000 km, been chipped for at least 150.000 km. 320 bhp and 515 NM is noticeable The 2.7T in the S4, A6 and Allroad differs only by the ECU. Fuel economy is the same or a little better than OEM unless you really step on it..On the quarter mile it outruns an S6 Plus 4.2L V8.. No problem ![]() A small tip.. (RS4 2.7T included) Mount the BOV's with the vacum hose pointing up (90 deg vacum hose from a newer Golf should do the trick). They will last longer, as the flow is now correct. I suspect Audi mounted them sideways to make them more silent. The best OEM'ish BOV is the Bosch Sport 110. Preferred by MTM ![]()

My A6 2.7T Tiptronic has a Revo remap done by AVPerformance in Burton On Trent, and has been tested at 321BHP/400 Nm torque. Fuel consumption is 18.2MPG average. It was 22.4 before the remap. The increase in performance is very, very noticeable. It goes very, very well. A great engine, as is the 4.2 V8.

![]() Aux heating serves two purposes... 1 - a nice warm cabin on a cold winters day and 2 - your engine (and oil) is pre-heated and ready to rock'n roll. And.. There will be less wear and tear on a warm engine.
