Battery is also totally on its way out, which is not helping matters.
Remember that a worn out pump draws more current than a good one - this causes hot wiring connections, oxidisation and higher resistance etc. You could therefore have engineered yourself more than one fault

IIRC circa 8 amps is the sign of a healthy pump?
